Douson check valves feature a robust design that ensures unidirectional flow. The valve consists of a valve body, a closure element, and a seat. The closure element, which can be a disc, ball, or swing, moves freely to allow fluid to pass through in the forward direction. When the flow reverses, the closure element is pushed against the seat, sealing the valve and preventing backflow.

Our check valves are available in various types, including swing check valves, lift check valves, and ball check valves, each suited for different applications and flow conditions. Douson check valves are crafted from materials such as ductile iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys, chosen for their resistance to corrosion and wear. There are 3 options for design and construction of the check valve which are:
  • Swing Check Valves: Utilize a hinged disc that swings open to allow forward flow and closes to prevent reverse flow.
  • Lift Check Valves: Feature a disc that lifts up from the seat when there is forward flow and drops back to the seat to prevent reverse flow.
  • Spring-loaded Check Valves: Incorporate a spring mechanism to assist in closing the valve disc, ensuring quick closure and preventing water hammer effects.

while the types are:
  • Silent Check Valves: Designed to minimize water hammer and reduce noise during operation.
  • Dual Plate Check Valves: Compact design with two plates that open in response to forward flow and close to prevent reverse flow, suitable for high-pressure applications.
